The BUMB performs at each Butler Home Football Game as well as community events. We perform three to four different halftime shows per season. Recent Halftime Shows have included themes such as: Heroes vs Villains, Funk and Soul, the music of Chappell Roan, the 90s, and Motown. We strive to entertain in a new way each and every performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Basketball Band (BUBB) has 80 to 100 members and contains some of Butler&#8217;s most enthusiastic fans. The 60+ song playlist for the group contains pieces from many genres including Ska, Swing, Pop, Hip-Hop, Rock, and Funk music among others. BUBB follows the Butler Basketball teams during postseason play and supported our Bulldogs through their historic national championship runs in 2010 and 2011. It\u2019s the time of your life. I get two hours almost every day to put aside all of my studies\u2014nothing else matters\u2014and play music with my closest friends. It\u2019s a place where I get to be me in my music realm, but I also get to relax. My closest friends are in band. It\u2019s been fun to see the differences between high school and college marching band and get to meet people who are passionate about music. I\u2019m doing marching band for fun, not because I\u2019m required to or because it\u2019s part of my major. Playing music makes me happy, and the fact that listening to it makes other people happy is so rewarding. \r\n\r\nIt\u2019s helpful that rehearsals are built into your academic schedule and count as one credit hour. That way, the time I spend rehearsing music outside of practices doesn\u2019t feel like I\u2019m taking away from time I could be doing schoolwork. The best part: Whether we had the best day or the worst day, all of us come together to play and remember that we all share a love for music and for Butler. It builds camaraderie and reminds us exactly why we do what we
