Administrative Specialist Molly Cripe

Molly CripeWhat are your responsibilities in the PA Program?

On a daily basis, I provide course support for the PA faculty, which can include formatting, proctoring, and scoring exams. When graduates of our program seek a new job, I serve as the point of contact for potential employers to receive verification information. Due to this responsibility, I became a Notary Public. Some of my other responsibilities include authoring articles for the PA Alumni Connection Magazine, assisting in cataloging the Butler PA Program historical information, assigning advisors, and serving as secretary for PA Faculty and PA Curriculum Committee meetings.

What do you like most about your role?

I love meeting and getting to know the students. I have the opportunity to work with our students from orientation until the start of their experiential year. It is satisfying to see them grow and build confidence as their excitement grows for their experiential year.

What is your previous work experience?

I served as a pediatric nurse at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago and Riley Children’s Hospital in downtown Indianapolis. I was then home with my family for a few years. In my most recent role, I served as a librarian in a local elementary school. Both of these roles provided me with the opportunity to build relationships with children and their families.

How do you spend your time outside of work?

I make every effort to attend my Barre classes each morning. My passions include reading, working in the yard, and Masterpiece Theatre on PBS. I also love spending time with my husband and keeping track of my three young adult children as they pursue their dreams. My husband, Joe, and I are close to an empty nest and look forward to new adventures soon.
