PA Alumni Connection Winter 2017
Issue 6—Winter 2017
As the fall semester and 2017 draw to a close, it is a good time to look back over the past few months and reflect on the great progress we have made as a profession and Program. We graduated 71 fantastic PAs who are now practicing in Indiana and across the country. We welcomed the next cohort of 75 into our Program. We incorporated innovation into the curriculum including ultrasound instruction and fresh tissue cadaveric education. Last but not least, we received a 10-year approval on continuing our Accreditation.
It is a great pleasure to be at this remarkable institution and a privilege to be a part of this wonderful profession. I want to thank our faculty and staff for their devotion to students and tireless effort. I also want to thank our students for their curiosity and drive, their open minds and commitment to learning. All of this is what makes Butler’s PA Program a special, vibrant place to work and to learn.
I want to thank the alumni, as they are the Program’s greatest assets. Daily they make a difference in their communities and in the lives of patients. Support from alumni is particularly meaningful and enables our Program to do many great things from orientation, to interviews, to classroom applications, and to serving as a preceptor. We could not do it without you.
Please enjoy this holiday season. I look forward to working with you to make 2018 the PA Program’s brightest year yet.
