ExamSoft is a secure computer-based testing platform that allows the ability to streamline the testing process and better track student performance. By using this software, we are able to better assess student progress throughout our program and evaluate the success of our curriculum in meeting program and college outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will take their assessments on their own devices (Windows and Mac laptops) using ExamSoft&#8217;s Examplify software. While our recommended minimum system requirements meet or exceed ExamSoft\u2019s minimum requirements in some areas, you are encouraged to confirm that your device also meets the Examplify minimum requirements for Windows and Mac laptops. Please note that the version of ExamSoft being used at Butler is not compatible with iPads; a Windows or Mac laptop must be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/examsoft.com\/resources\/examplify-minimum-system-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">View Examplify Minimum Requirements for Windows and Mac<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Butler offers <a href=\"https:\/\/butleru.my.site.com\/askbutler\/s\/article\/Computer-Discounts\">hardware discounts<\/a> on purchases through Apple, Dell, and HP. Various <a href=\"https:\/\/butleru.my.site.com\/askbutler\/s\/article\/What-kind-of-software-discounts-can-I-get-through-Butler\">software discounts<\/a> are available as well. They help respiratory therapists grow their expertise, expand their opportunities, and become integral members of the healthcare team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.in-isrc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Indiana Society for Respiratory Care (ISRC)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/coarc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)<\/a><\/strong><br>CoARC\u2019s mission is to ensure that high quality educational programs prepare graduates to be competent respiratory therapists with proficiency in practice, education, research, and service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chestnet.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>The American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lambdabeta.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>National Honor Society<\/strong><\/a><br>Lambda Beta Society, also known as the National Honor Society for the Profession of Respiratory Care. Lambda Beta Society was formed in 1986 to promote, recognize, and honor scholarship, scholarly achievement, service, and character of students, graduates, and faculty members of the profession.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-getting-certified-licensed-nbsp\" style=\"font-size:30px\">Getting Certified \/ Licensed&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbrc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)<\/a><br><\/strong>The NBRC promotes excellence in respiratory care by awarding credentials based on high competency standards. It shares the goal of protecting and enhancing patient lives. Nearly 40,000 candidates test for NBRC credentials each year, seeking to demonstrate how excellence defines them across seven specific areas of respiratory care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aarc.org\/membership\/state-societies\/state-society-advocacy-resources\/list-of-respiratory-therapist-state-licensure-contacts\/\"><strong>List of Respiratory Therapist State Licensure Contacts (AARC)<\/strong><\/a><br>The Indiana Professional Licensing Agency handles respiratory therapy licensing in Indiana.
