In recent years, Glennan\u2019s teaching assignment have included Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Mind, Introduction to Science and Technology Studies, and Logic. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Professor Glennan\u2019s research is the philosophy of science, with particular attention to biology, psychology and neuroscience. &nbsp;He has written about causation, explanation, and model building. He is chiefly known for his work on the nature of mechanisms and the role of mechanistic models and explanations across the sciences. &nbsp;He is author of <em>The New Mechanical Philosophy<\/em> (Oxford University Press, 2017) and <em>Causation: The Basics <\/em>(Routledge, &nbsp;2024) and he is the editor, with Phyllis Illari, of <em>The Routledge Handbook of Mechanisms and Mechanical Philosophy <\/em>(2018). She is an Associate Professor of Business Law and regularly teaches courses in Business Law and Business Ethics.  Before joining Butler, Hilary practiced law at Ice Miller LLP where she specialized in business litigation, product liability defense, franchisor-franchisee disputes, and complex commercial cases, including insurance coverage disputes.  She also regularly counseled clients on litigation avoidance strategies.  Hilary graduated summa cum laude from DePauw University in 1999 and obtained her J.D. summa cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. Most of my fieldwork has focused on cultures of sport in Japan and while I study and teach about all kinds of sport, football (soccer) is my ultimate passion. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration (International Business) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.&nbsp;Dr. McCormick Pritchard\u2019s&nbsp;primary teaching areas are International Business, Strategy Capstone, and International Strategy. Her main areas of research are on international entrepreneurship, international strategy in emerging markets, and international business education.
