If you\u2019re an Exploratory student, you will initially be assigned an advisor associated with either of the majors, and will switch once you\u2019ve made your choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All students meet with their advisor before each term to confirm course selections for the following term. Your advisor will help you optimize your schedule to meet your individual needs, provide support when academic challenges arise, or prompt reflection on your larger life and career goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to standard academic advising, each Butler Overseas student will be assigned a career mentor\u2014an expert who is chiefly responsible for helping you explore your long-term career trajectory, maximize your unique strengths, and prepare to enter the workforce or graduate school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Butler Overseas has professional and career development built into the three-year curriculum, so no student graduates without receiving personalized support.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students can expect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1:1 support from both an academic advisor and career development mentor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tests and assessments designed to help identify strengths, areas of growth, and potential career paths post-graduation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Global internships, research opportunities, and job shadowing&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assistance with r\u00e9sum\u00e9s, portfolio development, and interview strategies&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional panels, career fairs, and connections to international organizations&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relationships within the worldwide Butler alumni network&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Measured personal and professional progress during the program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lifetime career support through Butler\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.butler.edu\/internships-careers\/\">Career and Professional Success (CaPS)<\/a> office<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Meetings with career mentors will take place both online and in person as you travel around the globe.
