8:00 AM - 6:00 PM    Residence Hall Move-In, Hinkle Fieldhouse Parking Lot. Set arrival time for check-in is based on your room's location within the residence hall. This time was emailed in early August.

Hampton Dr. DAWG Alert Plus gives Butler administrators the ability to reach students, faculty, and staff, on and off campus via text messages, voice, and email alerts in the event of a campus emergency, weather- related delay or closing. Clowes Memorial Hall. As a Bulldog, there are two events that mark your time at Butler: your induction as a scholar and your commencement as a graduate. Join  President James Danko, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Brooke Barnett, Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Frank E. Ross III, and other University leaders as we celebrate your formal admission to Butler University as a student. Overflow family seating available in the Schrott Center for the Performing Arts. Alcohol + You @BU - Learn how to BU|BeWell while navigating social situations during your college experience. This interactive session will debunk common myths around drugs and alcohol, and empower you to make healthy, informed decisions to keep you and your friends safe.

What I Wish I Would Have Known: Skills, Tips, and Taking Care of Yourself -Students, Counseling and Consultation Services (CCS), the Center for Academic Success and Exploration (CASE), and Career and Professional Success (CaPS) staff are joining together to share strategies and resources to help you thrive in your first year & beyond. CaPS – LIFE DESIGN REFLECTION - Jordan Hall, Room 220, The office of Career and Professional Success (CaPS) invites you to join us for a moment of mindfulness and reflection during the busyness of Orientation. This session offers a brief introduction to design thinking and how it can be used in making big life decisions. There will be an individual reflective activity followed by a quick debrief in pairs and small groups.

Each team tries to “sink” the other team's boat by filling it with water before their boat goes under. The last boat floating will win the round. This tournament will be played in double elimination style.
