I hold a Bachelor of Science in History from Ball State University and a Master of Science in Library Science from Indiana University. My professional background combines expertise in instructional design, learning technologies, faculty development, and online education strategy.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<p>Over the past 14 years in higher education, I have led initiatives spanning instructional design, educational technology, faculty support, and online program development. At Butler, my work is focused on creating exceptional learning experiences for students and faculty by aligning online education, educational technology, and academic innovation with Butler&#8217;s mission and standards of excellence. My career in education began in the K-12 classroom, where I worked with students from disadvantaged populations before transitioning to online education. I hold a Master&#8217;s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Educational Technology. I also have certifications related to instructional design, accessiblity, and online learning through Quality Matters, Universal Design for Learning, and the Online Learning Consortium. I have spent my career helping faculty, Colleges, and programs to leverage technology to improve teaching, learning, and the student experience.<br>\n<br>\nWith more than a decade of experience spanning teaching, instructional design, and leadership in online learning, I have led initiatives that have expanded access to education and improved the student experience at scale. Prior to joining Butler, I served as Executive Director of Instructional Design Services and was a founding member of a centralized Online Academic Unit that supported 50,000-80,000 students annually. Some of my most impactful work includes securing a $2 million federal grant to develop Open Educational Resources (OER) for high-cost courses, starting a centralized online academic unit, and receiving national recognition through WCET&#8217;s WOW Award and OLC&#8217;s Digital Innovation Award for advancing online learning initiatives.<br>\n<br>\nReach out to me if you have questions about online learning, strategy, instructional design, course development processes, project planning, faculty partnerships, or digital learning operations. She holds an M.A. in English Language and Literature from Butler University, a B.A. in Anthropology from Indiana University, and an A.S. in Broadcast Production from Vincennes University. Her work focuses on educational technology, online learning, digital accessibility, faculty development, and the thoughtful integration of emerging technologies into teaching and learning.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<p>With more than 22 years of teaching experience and over two decades in higher education leadership, Megan has served as an instructor, dean, registrar, academic technology specialist, and educational administrator. At Butler, she helped launch the university&#8217;s first fully online undergraduate degree-completion program and currently leads faculty development efforts related to generative AI, online teaching, and digital pedagogy. She has presented nationally on topics including digital humanities, multimedia learning, experiential learning, and educational technology, and her scholarship has explored the intersection of technology, intercultural learning, and student engagement.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<p>Colleagues often connect with Megan for guidance on AI in teaching and learning, faculty development, online and blended course design, accessibility, Canvas and instructional technologies, digital pedagogy, and building sustainable academic partnerships. Beyond her work in educational technology and faculty support, she has spent more than 22 years teaching writing and communication courses in higher education and currently serves as adjunct faculty in Butler University&#8217;s English Department. As Butler&#8217;s Learning Management System administrator, he works closely with faculty, staff, and institutional partners to ensure academic technologies align with pedagogical goals and student success initiatives. Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Electronic Media from Butler University and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Educational Technology from Ball State University.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<p>Nick brings more than 18 years of experience supporting educational technology in both K\u201312 and higher education environments. Prior to his current role, he served as an Academic Technology Specialist at Butler University and as Computing Services Coordinator for Washington Township Schools, where he managed instructional technology systems, including Canvas and Google Workspace. Throughout his career, he has led technology implementations, systems integrations, and faculty support initiatives designed to improve teaching effectiveness and the student learning experience. In addition to his administrative and technology leadership roles, Nick has taught as an adjunct instructor in Butler&#8217;s College of Education and College of Communication, bringing both practitioner and educator perspectives to his work. He also served as Chair of Butler University&#8217;s Staff Assembly from 2022\u20132024, helping advance collaboration and engagement across the institution.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<p>Faculty and staff can connect with Nick for guidance on Canvas LMS administration, instructional technology strategy, academic system integrations, learning analytics, educational technology troubleshooting, and identifying technology solutions that support innovative teaching practices. I earned my education degree from Ball State University, where I developed a strong interest in educational technology and how digital tools can enhance accessibility, engagement, and student outcomes. As a Canvas Certified Educator, I enjoy supporting faculty in designing effective and meaningful learning experiences.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<p>I have seven years of experience in higher education educational technology, including five years at Butler University. During this time, I have supported faculty in integrating digital tools to enhance teaching, learning, and student engagement across a variety of instructional contexts. I&#8217;ve also had the opportunity to teach ED 245: Integrating Technology in the College of Education and Human Development, where I worked directly with pre-service educators to explore effective and purposeful uses of technology in the classroom. In addition, I supervise our department\u2019s student employee program, the Digital Transformation Ambassadors. I am a strong advocate for accessibility and am committed to helping faculty and academic staff create accessible, inclusive digital learning materials. I hold an MSEd in Higher Education and Student Affairs, a Master of Library Science specializing in Digital Humanities, and a Master of Informatics from Indiana University, where I am currently pursuing a PhD in Informatics with an HCI focus and an Instructional Systems Technology minor. My doctoral research is focused on how faculty utilize ad hoc tooling to improve digital accessibility. My academic foundation is backed by a Quality Matters Certificate and six specialized AI credentials from Auburn University, including badges in AI Course Design, Assessment, and Integrity.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<p>My passion for this field began in 2018 when I got my start with the Information Commons program at IU. Today, I have the privilege of bringing that passion back home to Butler, where I support our own iteration of that model by working closely with our Digital Transformation Ambassador students focused on Communications and AI. In my broader role, I spearhead our department&#8217;s branding, marketing, and strategic web redesign, in addition to supporting faculty training and workshops surrounding AI and other relevant academic technologies. A recent highlight includes curating a highly popular &#8220;AI and the Arts&#8221; campus panel alongside our talented faculty and students and designing a Tableau dashboard exploring our recent AI perspectives and use survey.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<p>Please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions about integrating AI into your course design, digital accessibility, or collaborating on interdisciplinary workshops. Lisa is a Quality Matters Certified Master Reviewer and stays current on trends at the intersection of AI and higher education, recently co-authoring a textbook chapter on responsible AI adoption in academic settings.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<p>With over two decades of experience in education and more than a decade in instructional design, Lisa has supported course development across a wide range of disciplines at both Butler and Indiana State University. Among her most meaningful projects: leading Butler&#8217;s development of new online programs and the scalable processes that make them possible, and conducting over fifty formal Quality Matters course reviews across institutions nationwide. I bring close to three years of experience in higher ed, supporting subject matter experts and faculty in strengthening their online courses.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<p>In my time at Butler, I&#8217;ve had the opportunity to contribute to meaningful online program-level work. I partnered with faculty to develop the foundational courses for Butler&#8217;s new MA Deaf Education program, as well as the capstone course for the Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership program. Projects like these reflect what I love most about instructional design: the close collaboration with subject matter experts, and knowing that the work we do together will impact students.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m a resource for course authors navigating the design and development process \u2014 whether that&#8217;s structuring course content, aligning assessments to learning outcomes, or thinking through how to present complex material in an engaging way. With a unique blend of fine arts, instructional design, and multimedia development expertise, Lee specializes in creating engaging digital learning experiences through Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, video production, and interactive media.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<p>With more than two decades of creative and educational technology experience, Lee has designed and developed multimedia-rich learning experiences for higher education, corporate training, and professional development audiences. At Butler University, he has led the development of interactive online courses and certificate programs for external partners including Hylant and the NCAA. Prior to Butler, he built and managed a team of instructional technology professionals while supporting large-scale cybersecurity training initiatives. Throughout his career, he has combined artistic creativity with technical problem-solving to create learning experiences that are both effective and visually engaging.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<p>Faculty and staff can connect with Lee for assistance with eLearning development, multimedia production, Articulate Storyline and Rise projects, graphic design, video creation, animation, accessibility considerations, and creative approaches to online learning.
