Nutrition Services

Our nutrition services office is able to assist you in meeting your personal health goals. We are available for individual nutrition consultations as well as group nutrition education programs and more! 

Individual Consultation

Individual consultations are ideal for those looking for an individualized plan to meet their health and dietary goals. Whether you need help navigating a food allergy, managing a chronic disease, weight management help, sport nutrition advice, or want general nutrition information, our registered dietitian is eager to help. We pair evidence-based guidelines with your lifestyle considerations, partnering with you to promote sustainable lifestyle changes. 

Appointments and Scheduling
  • Three sessions is the standard recommendation for a full nutrition analysis and program

  • One hour appointments may be scheduled here.

  • Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to the session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours-notice are forfeited and the fee will still apply

  • Please complete the Initial Intake form and bring it with you for your first appointment. Completing this ahead of time will allow your time with the dietitian to be maximized

  • Completing a three-day food log is also recommended prior to your appointment 


Pricing and Payment
  • Current Butler Undergraduate Student: $25/session (Unable to be billed to your student account)
  • Butler Faculty and Staff: $40/session (employee pays only $20/session and $20/session will be subsidized by the University)
  • HRC Member, Graduate, and Part-time Student: $40/session 
  • Non-HRC Member: $50/session

*Please be prepared to pay for your nutrition session at the end of the appointment. Credit cards, cash, and check are accepted*

Nutrition Education

Campus groups and organizations may request to schedule for a specific program tailored to the needs and interests of the group. 

Topics might include: 

  • Healthy choices on a meal plan
  • Portion control
  • Weight loss/gain
  • Healthy snacks,
  • Food preparation
  • Food choices to boost energy and concentration
  • Shopping tips

The cost for a specialized 50-minute general educational sessions is $100, depending on the topic and required preparation time. Compensation for educational programs should be negotiated in advance directly with the dietitian.

Meet The Dietitian - Tara Rochford

Tara RochfordTara Rochford is a Butler graduate with a passion for nutrition, cooking, healthy living and engaging in an active lifestyle.  After starting the healthy lifestyle blog, Tara Rochford Nutrition, and working as a group fitness instructor on Princess Cruise Lines and at several fitness centers in Indianapolis, she followed her passion for health and went back to school to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.  Tara’s love and understanding of food and fitness allows her to connect with individuals where they are at in their current wellness journey, and to be their cheerleader along the way. Stop by the HRC to meet her!
