Virtual Registration

Welcome to Butler University!

All 2020 New Student Registration events will be transitioned to Virtual Registration appointments, due to the University's response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

During Virtual Registration, academic advisors will connect individually with incoming students to discuss course enrollment. Butler staff will contact students with an assigned New Student Registration date with more details, including placement exam deadlines and how the advising appointment scheduling process will operate. Students with an enrollment deposit on file who have not yet selected date preferences will also be contacted with next steps. Students who submit an enrollment deposit in the coming weeks will receive more information about Virtual Registration at that time. 

If you had already been assigned a New Student Registration date, your confirmation email indicates a placement exam deadline. Placement exams are taken online and must be completed before you will be contacted to set up a time for your Virtual Registration session. 

Once all required placement exams are completed, your advising materials will be transitioned to the college of your primary major and a representative will reach out to you via your Butler email account to schedule a time for an academic advising conversation.
