Brass Day at Butler University

Butler University Brass Day will take place Monday, January 15, 2018 (Martin Luther King Day) in the Schrott Center for the Arts. The event is open to high school and middle school students of all abilities. The second annual Brass Day will feature the Butler University brass faculty: Allen Miller (trumpet), Gail Lewis (French horn), Jared Rodin (trombone), Michael Colburn (euphonium), Melissa Williams (tuba) PLUS special guest Tony Kniffen, principal tuba at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra!

All activities will take place in the Schrott Center for the Arts unless otherwise noted.
|10:00 AM||Opening recital featuring Tony Kniffen and Butler faculty|
|11:00 AM||Master Class with Tony Kniffen|
|12:00 PM||Lunch in Atherton Union|
|1:00 PM||Master Classes with Butler faculty (trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba)|
|2:00 PM||Brass Ensemble rehearsal|
|3:00 PM||Q&A with Butler students and faculty|
|3:30 PM||Closing concert (Brass Ensemble performance)|
