The appropriate lending department depends on affiliation (student or faculty\/staff) and usage scenario.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"butler-accordion-container wp-block-butler-accordion-container\" data-allow-multiple=\"false\" style=\"--butler-accordion-title-bg-hover: ;\">\n\n<div class=\"butler-accordion-item wp-block-butler-accordion-item\">\n\t<div class=\"butler-accordion-header\">\n\t\t<h2 class=\"butler-accordion-title wp-block-butler-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t<button class=\"butler-accordion-toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tMedia Equipment\t\t\t\t<span class=\"screen-reader-text\">Open<\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h2>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"butler-accordion-item-content\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Irwin Library has a collection of media items available for check-out at the Information Commons desk, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Canon and Sony camcorders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Canon DSLR camera<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>USB snowball &amp; wireless microphones<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tripods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>GoPro cameras and head mounts (and stabilizing gimbal)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pico projector<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scarlett 2i2 USB audio interface<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note: you must provide your own SD card in order to use library camcorders and cameras. <\/strong>The equipment can leave the library and has a seven day circulation period. Items are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and can be renewed one time. Some of them are headphones only and connect via a 3.5mm connector while others also have microphones and connect to the computer via USB.&nbsp;Four hours is the loan period for these components.&nbsp;Items are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and cannot be renewed.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"butler-accordion-item wp-block-butler-accordion-item\">\n\t<div class=\"butler-accordion-header\">\n\t\t<h2 class=\"butler-accordion-title wp-block-butler-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t<button class=\"butler-accordion-toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tiPads\t\t\t\t<span class=\"screen-reader-text\">Open<\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h2>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"butler-accordion-item-content\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Irwin Library has iPads available for check-out to students, staff and faculty at the Information Commons desk. We also have Apple Pencils available for checkout. These devices may leave the library and have a seven day circulation period. iPads are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and cannot be renewed. Patrons should not delete library-installed applications. When iPads are returned, they will be wiped of all user data and settings and reset to library settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Irwin Library recognizes that demand for these devices can be high; as a result,<strong> patrons are required to wait 24 hours after returning an iPad before checking one out again.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"butler-accordion-item wp-block-butler-accordion-item\">\n\t<div class=\"butler-accordion-header\">\n\t\t<h2 class=\"butler-accordion-title wp-block-butler-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t<button class=\"butler-accordion-toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tLaptops\t\t\t\t<span class=\"screen-reader-text\">Open<\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h2>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"butler-accordion-item-content\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both the Irwin Library and the Science Library have PC laptops and Apple MacBooks available for checkout to current Butler University students. These are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. This equipment can leave the library, has a 14 day circulation period, and cannot be renewed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Irwin Library recognizes that demand for these devices can be high; as a result,\u00a0<strong>patrons are required to wait 24 hours after returning a laptop before checking one out again.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>For Professional Phase Pharmacy and Physician Assistant Students:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If your personal computer goes down prior to a quiz\/exam administered through&nbsp;Examplify\u00ae you can obtain a loaner computer (it can be PC or Mac) from the Science Library or Irwin Library (if there are no loaners available at either Library, please contact your instructor ASAP!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be sure to mention that you need a loaner device with Examplify installed on it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"butler-accordion-item wp-block-butler-accordion-item\">\n\t<div class=\"butler-accordion-header\">\n\t\t<h2 class=\"butler-accordion-title wp-block-butler-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t<button class=\"butler-accordion-toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tMiscellaneous\t\t\t\t<span class=\"screen-reader-text\">Open<\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h2>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"butler-accordion-item-content\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Irwin Library houses various miscellaneous items such as calculators, adapters, etc., that are available for check-out to Butler University students, staff and faculty. To ensure a timely return of equipment and to avoid fees for lost materials, students are encouraged to monitor their due-dates via&nbsp;<a aria-label=\"To make this website accessible to screen reader, Press combination of alt and 1 keys. To stop getting this message, press the combination of alt and 2 keys\" href=\"https:\/\/butler.on.worldcat.org\/myaccount\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">My Library&nbsp;Account<\/a>.&nbsp;Late fees for reserves, PC &amp; Mac laptops, &amp; iPads are billed at&nbsp;<strong>$10 per day per overdue item<\/strong>&nbsp;up to $140. Late fees for all other equipment (headsets, \u00e0 la carte chargers, room keys, etc.) are billed at&nbsp;<strong>$10 per overdue item<\/strong>.&nbsp;If the library equipment is returned undamaged within 14&nbsp;days past the due date, then the student will only be required to pay the late fee(s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-billing\">Billing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After 14&nbsp;days, library equipment is declared lost and a bill will be e-mailed to the student and to Student Accounts. Students will have to pay an&nbsp;<strong>irreversible replacement cost<\/strong>&nbsp;(ranging from $15\u2014$500+).
