Bedel earned a bachelor\u2019s degree from Hanover College and an MBA from Butler University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout her career, Bedel has been recognized for dedication to her profession and her community. She was inducted into the Indiana Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2016 and was recognized as the 2015 Women Business Owner of the year by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). She joined the company in 1996, serving as manager of Nike Sports Entertainment, before becoming an event manager for Nike Basketball in 1998 and then manager of NCAA Division I conferences and National Federation of High School relations in 1999. She was promoted to director in 2002 and held that post until 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scott served as assistant to the executive director of USA Basketball from 1987\u20131990, before becoming the organization\u2019s senior administrative assistant from 1990\u20131992 and the director of basketball operations from 1992\u20131996. She was an integral part of the USA Basketball administration that managed the original Dream Team at the 1992 Olympics, as well as the 1996 Olympic team. She also oversaw Nike\u2019s Olympic sports marketing efforts at the 2010 and 2012 Olympic Games. While working for Nike, Scott served as the venue manager for the 2002 FIBA World Basketball Championship in Indianapolis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was a two-sport student-athlete at Nebraska-Kearney, from which she received her bachelor\u2019s degree in 1986.
