Every year, our office offers a wide array of career fairs, workshops, and networking events to facilitate student as well as alumni-employer relations. Diversity Connections is a unique networking event that provides employers the opportunity to connect with a wide array of Butler students of diverse backgrounds in a relaxed, fun, and engaging way. The event is open to all Butler students, with a focus on bringing together students and employers, who are interested in creating work environments that value and promote workforce diversity.
The session includes various structured networking activities aimed at allowing students and employers to meet and interact with several guests throughout the evening in a relaxed environment. This event is held each Spring Semester.

Butler University’s Internship & Career Services is proud to be a part of the Big East Career Consortium, a collaboration between career centers of the Big East Athletic Conference. Every March, Butler University takes a group of students to New York City to participate in various networking events with Butler alumni surrounding the Big East Men’s Basketball Tournament. The two day trip culminates in the Big East Career Consortium’s Sports & Entertainment Networking Event for students and alumni of Big East schools.

Indy Summer Experience (ISE), which is coordinated by Internship and Career Services (ICS), is a program that gives students the chance to both work and play in the great city of Indianapolis. Students secure and complete an internship (or similar professional experience) with a local organization in the day, and in the evenings, the program offers social and cultural events for entertainment. This is a great opportunity to make Indy connections with employers, have fun around town, and spend the summer with your friends!
Applications are due April 12th 2019
ISE is for students who met the following criteria:
- Student currently completing a internship or similar professional experience in a career-related field in Indy
- Interested in exploring the diverse social adn cultural offerings of Indy
- Seeking opportunities to connect and network with Butler alumni and local professionals
