Failure to report the injury the same day of occurrence may result in denial of a claim by Worker\u2019s Compensation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervisors must report an injury to Benefits &amp; Wellness as soon as possible via email at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:benefits@butler.edu\">benefits@butler.edu<\/a>. Supervisors need to provide the completed&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.butler.edu\/www\/sites\/14\/2025\/03\/08103451\/Incident-Report-Form-030325.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Accident \/Incident Report form (PDF)<\/a>&nbsp;within 24 hours, regardless if the injury required professional medical attention or results in lost time. Follow-up appointments and therapy may be scheduled during the business day without reduction of pay.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the attending physician gives the employee work restrictions and the University can provide work for the employee within the restrictions, then the employee is not entitled to receive temporary total-disability benefits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The following are three outcomes for an injured employee following initial treatment:<span style=\"color: var(--color-theme-primary); font-family: var( --global-font-family );\"> <\/span>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The employee is released to return to work with no restrictions\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>The employee is released to work with temporary restrictions, sometimes referred
