Butler University is a member of the Tuition Exchange program and is proud to offer this opportunity to the dependents of Butler employees. Eligible employees are defined by Butler University as a faculty or staff member who has been employed in a full-time position for a least 9 months prior to the academic year in which your student begins.<\/p><p><strong><em>Tuition Exchange is not an employee benefit nor is it\u00a0a guaranteed scholarship opportunity. \u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>Dependents interested in applying for Tuition Exchange should inquire about individual application dates and procedures at the Export and all Import schools to where the student is considering applying and potentially enrolling in the fall.<\/p><p>The value of the TE scholarship\u00a0is tuition or the annual set rate.\u00a0 Be aware that TE funding may include federal and state grant dollars, and any institutional scholarships, and merit or need-based institutional grants.<\/p><p>Tuition Exchange applications and the individual school admission\u00a0application must coordinate. TE applications are not considered without a matching admission application.\u00a0Applicants need to check with all Import schools for any\u00a0additional requirements<strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0 Requirements can include filing the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/fafsa-app\/ROLES\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FAFSA<\/a>\u00a0annually, maintaining minimum grade point average, being enrolled fulltime,\u00a0and living on campus.<\/p><p>Students complete one TE- <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tuitionexchange.org\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">EZ online application<\/a> and can list up to 10 schools. To add additional schools after submitting the initial TE-EZ online application, a new TE-EZ online application is required. The EZ online application must be submitted no later than December 1\u00a0of the year prior to the student\u2019s enrollment. Students wishing to eliminate schools from consideration should contact the Benefits &amp; Wellness team at <a href=\"mailto:benefits@butler.edu\">benefits@butler.edu<\/a> and ask that the school(s) be withdrawn from consideration.<\/p><p>Be certain to submit a working email address when submitting the application. You will receive an automatic email advising that your application(s) have been submitted. Butler University will verify eligibility of the employee associated with the application. If the application is approved, it will be sent to the school to which the student is applying. The TE Liaison Officer at the host school will notify the family when the application is accepted or rejected. <em>Butler University only verifies an employee\u2019s eligibility for Tuition Exchange and has no input as to whether a student is awarded TE.<\/em><\/p><p><strong><em>TE Scholarships are very competitive.<\/em><\/strong> Every student must meet the Imports school&#8217;s admission requirements and application deadlines. Some schools may have additional requirements for exchange applicants, such as higher academic standards, living on campus, and completing the FAFSA annually. Other schools may\u00a0limit awards to just a few new students each year.<\/p><p>When an employee leaves their position with the TE member school during the academic year, the TE scholarship is canceled effective with the end of the current semester.<\/p><p>There is no guarantee that a student will receive a Tuition Exchange award simply because the student applied for Tuition Exchange.<\/p><p>Student Financial Aid questions should be directed to the Butler\u2019s Office of Financial Aid at <a
