For Students
A Pathway for Historically Underserved Students
Data shows that several groups have been historically underrepresented in higher ed (e.g., race, gender identity, socioeconomic background, disability status, national origin, sexual orientation, etc.). Founder’s College aims to increase access for students with limited financial means and unlimited potential. Students enrolled in the College can obtain their associate’s degree with little to no debt or out-of-pocket expenses, and most will have the opportunity to continue at Butler and earn a bachelor’s degree in an affordable manner.
Specifically, we are excited to welcome our first group of students who will help us create the culture and set the tone for the new College. Founder’s College students will be engaged learners who are open-minded, caring, reflective, inquirers, and risk-takers. We ask students to bring their “authentic self” to the College. Students will benefit from an intentional, challenging, and meaningful curriculum accompanied by holistic support.
Classes at Founder’s College will begin in fall 2025. Admission requirements and process information will be available by early summer 2024.
