Why I love Theatre:
I love being surrounded by art, and what is theatre if not living art. More than that, theatre is story telling. We share life experiences and ideas through stories, and Theatre brings those stories to life. Engulfing you in a different world, forcing you to expand your thoughts, and question your preconceived notions. Theatre helps us learn and grow.

Why I love Butler:

Butler gives students the ability to explore interests outside of theatre while training for the entertainment world. Butler Theatre majors participate in every aspect of producing a show. This gives them an unique perspective when joining the professional world. They are better able to collaborate with their co-workers because of the first hand experiences they had in Butler Theatre.

Why I love teaching:
I enjoy working with students and watching them develop and improve new skills. There is nothing quite like seeing a student who was convinced at the beginning of the semester that they couldn’t sew, easily put together a costume a few months later. More than imparting skills, it is important to me to help guide and shape our students to become well rounded, functional, working, professionals.
