Franny Gaede joined Butler University as Scholarly Communication Librarian in August 2013 after receiving her MSIS from the School of Information at the University of Texas at Austin. She manages Digital Commons @ Butler University, a digital archive of scholarly and creative work emanating from the university, and is liaison for the Department of Philosophy, Religion, and Classical Studies; the Department of Modern Languages; and the Honors Program. She is an open access and net neutrality advocate and is interested in the digital humanities, library publishing, and design. Before coming to Butler University, Franny worked for the University of Texas Digital Repository. In her free time, she enjoys calligraphy, knitting, and potato-based foodstuffs.
