COVID-19 Information for the Butler Community
Butler University COVID-19 Dashboard
Results as of 4/12/21
Updated every Tuesday and Friday at noon EST
The dashboard results include University COVID-19 testing on campus and non-University COVID-19 testing reported by students/employees. While positive cases are inevitable, we are utilizing a number of metrics and factors to closely monitor COVID-19 on campus and to inform our decision-making to mitigate the spread of the virus.
The University’s testing strategy includes the following components:
- Entry testing. All students are required to receive a test on campus before returning to on-campus housing, participating in any on-campus activities, or attending in-person classes. As of 1/25, we administered more than 4,400 entry tests with a positivity rate of 0.57%.
- Symptomatic testing. Students experiencing COVID-19 symptoms will be tested throughout the semester.
- Quarantined testing. Students are tested on days 5 and 10 of the 10-day quarantine.
- Asymptomatic testing. Starting early February, the University will be administering approximately 1,500 tests per week for asymptomatic students and employees.
