Successful recruitment comes as a result of building relationships with the Butler campus community. Employers who experience the greatest level of success in their recruiting efforts partner with Career and Professional Success in a number of ways. Below are some of our programs and services to assist employers in making the connection with Butler students and alumni.
Recruiter Information Breakfasts are employer-only, informational events with the purpose of providing more details about Butler's campus structure, various services and programming CAPS offers employers, and an opportunity to hear from a panel of students. The events are typically held at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters (August and January). Invitations are sent to contacts in our Handshake database. Contact Julie Schrader at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Next Event: Wednesday, August 1st, 2018, 8:30-10:00 a.m. Registration form: https://butler.formstack.com/forms/recruiterinfobreakfast
The Career and Professional Success office offers you the opportunity to schedule interview days for your fulltime and internship opportunities. Generally, the interviewing season runs from late September to early December in the Fall semester and late January to late April in the Spring semester.
In planning your visits, you will want to be mindful of finals and campus breaks including Fall Break (mid-October), Thanksgiving Break (the whole week of Thanksgiving), Winter Holiday Break, Martin Luther King Day and Spring Break. The Career and Professional Success staff will assist you in finding the best time for your visit.
To request an interview day, contact Career and Professional Success at 317-940-9383. You will need to have the following information ready to complete the reservation process:

Host on-campus interviews with Butler students! Post your position to Handshake and review your top applicants. Two weeks notice is strongly preferred.
Information Tables and Information Sessions:
Information tables are usually scheduled during the lunch hour at our student union. Tables are perfect if you’re looking to build brand recognition or hire for part-time positions. Information sessions can be a great way to connect with students if you have an established internship program, and want to share application tips & tricks. We are also more than willing to help you create a tailored campus experience to meet your needs.
CAPS offers a variety of career-related events and programs. Visit the Events & Programs section for details on upcoming events.
Sponsorship increases brand recognition and awareness on campus! CAPS and Butler University offer a variety of event and programming sponsorship opportunities to help showcase your organization to Butler students. If you are interested in sponsoring an event, please reach out directly to our office to discuss these options. We can also work with you to create a personalized sponsorship plan that supports your brand and campus goals.
