class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Office of Student Accounts processes refunds for students with credit balances upon request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-2026-2027-refund-schedule\" id=\"h-weekly-processing-schedule\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Weekly Processing Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you miss the initial term deadline, refund requests are processed weekly while classes are in session:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Submit by<\/strong>: Tuesday evening<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Funds released<\/strong>: Friday of the same week<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Requirement<\/strong>: Your account must show a valid credit balance at the time of review.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-important-note\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important Note<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An <strong>\u201cApproved\u201d<\/strong> status in the portal confirms your request was successfully submitted\u2014it does <strong>not<\/strong> guarantee a refund will be issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All requests are subject to final review, and refunds will only be processed after the account review is complete and approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-refund-requests\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Refund Requests<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-how-to-submit-a-refund-request\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Submit a Refund Request<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/my.butler.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">my.butler.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the\u00a0PS Campus Solutions\u00a0tile.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the\u00a0Refund Request: Current Student\u00a0tile.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select\u00a0<em>Fill out a new form<\/em>\u00a0(top left).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the current term from drop-down menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete\u00a0<em>Mailing Address<\/em>\u00a0(even if enrolled in direct deposit option) and\u00a0<em>Amount Requested<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you want the full amount of the credit on your account, leave the\u00a0<em>Amount Requested<\/em>\u00a0blank.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select\u00a0<em>Save<\/em>, then\u00a0<em>Submit<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Note<\/strong>:\u00a0\u201cApproved\u201d under the \u201cApproval Status\u201d indicates the refund request has been submitted and does <strong>not<\/strong> indicate a refund will be processed.\u00a0Refunds are subject to approval <strong>after<\/strong> the account has been reviewed and the account cleared to refund.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p balance must be on the account at the time of review.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two refunds are permitted per term.\u00a0Some exceptions apply (federal Title IV funds).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A refund request isn\u2019t necessary if the credit balance on the account is created due to federal (Title IV) funds.\u00a0However, to ensure the full amount of the credit balance on the account is processed, a refund request is recommended.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refunds are processed weekly while classes are in session.\u00a0In most instances, requests submitted by end of day Tuesday will be processed and mailed or directly deposited Friday of the same week provided the account is cleared to refund at the time of review.\u00a0Exceptions to our weekly process at the beginning of the fall and spring terms apply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuition is set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be refunded in the event that instruction occurs remotely for any part of the academic
