Butler’s Old National Bank Center for Business Excellence
The Old National Bank Center for Business Excellence offers a multitude of opportunities for Butler University students and recent gradudates to connect with employers to gain real-world business experience through Micro-Internships, the ONB Center Internship Experience, and the ONB Center Fellowship program. The new BlueWork platform (piloting in May 2021) will be a key component to connecting students and employers for short-term, project-based work. Students can begin completing project-based work as early as second semester their first year by completing the BlueWork course. Upon completing the BlueWork course, students will be provided access to the BlueWork platform as Student Contractors and will have the opportunity to complete projects for employers who submit project requests using the BlueWork platform. Students are then eligible to apply for the Student Analyst positions through the ONB Center Internship Experience. The Internship Experience is a for-credit experience available to Butler juniors and seniors who are assigned more advanced projects as Student Analysts through the BlueWork platform. Upon completing the internship experience, students will be eligible to apply for the ONB Center Fellowship program. The Fellowship is a full-time post-gradute opportunity in which participants will have a two-year rotational experience both within the ONB Center as a mentor to Student Contractors and Student Analysts and through experiences at ONB Center partner host companies.
