“The opportunities to meet new clients and expand our relationship with Butler made the decision to become a partner easy. Butler has such a great reputation that draws the right caliber of people. The partnership has been really beneficial beyond the events that the ONB Center hosts. We have been able to partner with other organizations that are involved in the Center. The Indiana Franchise Association (INFA) is a good example. We’ve started partnering with the ONB Center and other Center partners in putting on INFA events at Butler. Having access to host these events in the new business building is a great perk of being a partner. This type of networking and familiarity with the business landscape and community is really important. The ONB Center is different from a chamber model in that there is much more of an educational component. The peer learning and support provides for deeper relationships between partners and members. A contrast between the ONB Center and other business centers is the effort to open up the Lacy School of Business to the business community. The building itself creates opportunities for interactions between students and the business community which creates a strong pipeline to the student body which is an advantage for the ONB Center that other centers haven’t been as successful at tapping into.”
