MBA Alumni Community Panel Discussion: Resilient Leadership in Challenging Times

David Dreith, President and CEO, Easterseals Crossroads

David Dreith is the President and CEO of Easterseals Crossroads, an organization with mission of changing the way the world views and defines disability. For over 80 years, Easterseals Crossroads has been a mainstay organization in providing services to people with disabilities and their families so that all may more fully live learn work and play in the community.

Dreith has been the CEO of Easterseals Crossroads since March 2020. Prior to arriving in Indianapolis, he spent the previous 20 years at Easterseals Serving Greater Cincinnati, the last several as Chief Operating Officer. During his career, he has led efforts in innovating the way people with disabilities access and contribute to their communities. Some of his accomplishments include:

  • Playing key leadership roles in the launch and operation of numerous social enterprises, earned income ventures that support an organization’s mission of employing people with disabilities while generating unrestricted income to support other initiatives of that non-profit
  • Leading the effort to converting traditional facility-based services for adults with disabilities through creation of cutting edge, fully-inclusive services in which those adults gained greater agency and self-determination through employment
  • Establishing a comprehensive employment and emergency services program serving military veterans and their families as they transition into civilian life

David holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, and he volunteers conducting alumni interviews for Stanford applicants. He is an avid reader and open water swimmer, and he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

Heather Haas, President, ADVISA

Heather Haas believes there is no higher calling than helping leaders grow and improve. Her passion for fueling others' success drove her from her beginnings as a classroom teacher and principal to her role as President of ADVISA. ADVISA provides talent optimization software, customized leadership academies, sales training, employee engagement and culture tools, as well as executive coaching.

Haas brings uncommon passion and authenticity to helping leaders optimize their talent based on trust and shared purpose. Her clients range from large multi-national companies like Cummins, Husqvarna, Quantum Health and Jabil Circuit, to smaller, locally-owned businesses across a variety of industries.

After earning her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Indiana University, Haas spent her early career as a teacher and administrator, eventually earning her master's degree in Educational Leadership. Since making the leap into the business world, she has coached and trained thousands of leaders to embrace the reality that their people strategy is their business strategy.

 

Mark Minner '12, President & CSO, FirstPerson

Mark Minner plays an integral role on the FirstPerson leadership team as President & Chief Strategy Officer, helping create and carry the FirstPerson vision. He collaborates with clients to build innovative, long-term benefits and compensation strategies for clients.

Since 2013, Minner has served as the play by play "Voice of the Butler Bulldogs" for men's basketball broadcasts on the PNC Butler Radio Network. He has called other sporting events for Fox Sports and the Big East Digital Network, as well as NCAA championships for Turner Sports.

Minner is a 2012 graduate of Butler University with dual degrees in marketing and electronic journalism.

In 2019, Minner was named to the Indianapolis Business Journal’s prestigious Forty Under 40 list. In 2016, he was awarded Employee Benefit Advisors "Rising Star in Advising" honor. Mark was also named a finalist for Junior Achievement of Central Indiana's "Best and Brightest."

In the community, Minner is an active member of the Penrod Society, Butler University Trustee, served on the Executive committee for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night event, serves on the board of Hillcrest Country Club, and is a founding board member of Stay Positive.
