About Me:

Hey everyone, I am Cathryn. I am going into my 5th year of pharmacy at Butler University. I am also working toward a minor in Science, Technology & Society! In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and writing. I've been working on NaNoWriMo and am hoping to be published at some point in the near future as well. Most of the time you can catch me studying in the library or browsing the Internet. Oh, and did I mention that I got married last summer?

Songs of the season

Every round of clusters, I have to make a new playlist to study to. Here are my favorite songs to listen to right now!

The Ting Tings – That’s Not My Name. This is from a few summers ago, and although The Ting Tings fell off the face of the planet never to return, I freakin’ love this song and their album.

Dear Ting Tings, PLEASE COME BACK. WHERE ARE YOU?

The Hunger Games Soundtrack. Specifically, The Secret Sisters – Tomorrow Will be Kinder. This album has a really great sound. The folksy songs fit the mood of District 12 (the main character’s hometown) and it’s just got this dark but hopeful tone to it. I’m also obsessed with the Hunger Games so that’s a compelling reason for me to like it. :P

Arcade Fire – The Suburbs. I’ve had this album on repeat since spring break. It’s cool listening to an album that has a cohesive theme. Plus this sucker won the Grammy for best album two years ago! Get it, Arcade Fire.

Ray LaMontagne – You are the Best Thing. I’d never actually heard this song before until last week! It’s a cute song–I love a good horn section. Lots of retro flair in it too. I can’t believe I just said “retro flair.”

I’ll see myself out.
