Butler University offers both Early Action and Regular Decision deadlines for first year fall applicants. Best consideration for admission and scholarship is provided via the Early Action process.
Fall Admission
August 1: Application opens
October 1: FAFSA becomes available
Late October-Mid December: Early Action admission decisions released
November 1: Early Action Deadline
Early Action benefits include full scholarship consideration and honors program eligibility. Early Action at Butler is non-binding.
December 1: Recommended FAFSA Filing Date
February 1: Financial Aid notification begins
February 1: Regular Decision Deadline
February 2: Rolling admission begins
March 1: Butler's priority FAFSA Deadline
May 1: National Candidate's Reply Date
A $500 enrollment deposit is due to the Office of Admission. This deposit is refundable through May 1.
Spring Admission
Butler accepts first year and transfer students for second semester. Students interested in enrolling in January for the spring semester should apply for admission no later than December 14.
