The high attrition of educators, coupled with an insufficient pipeline of teacher candidates from bachelor\u2019s degree programs, has led to drastic increases in alternative teaching credentials and emergency permits.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the 2020\u20132021 school year in Indiana, there were\u202f4,474 emergency permits,\u202f419 transition to teaching permits, 11,731 substitute teacher permits, and 1,251 adjunct teacher licenses. The Teacher-Led, Teacher Ed program, offered by Butler University&#8217;s College of Education and Office of Continuing Education and Professional Education, is designed to support new teachers, alternatively credentialed, emergency-permitted, or long-term substitute teachers with the training they need to succeed in the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-regular-font-size\" id=\"h-cost\"><strong>Cost<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Subscription Registration<br><\/strong>Program packages are available to schools and districts at a discounted rate.&nbsp;Contact <a href=\"mailto:ocpe@butler.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ocpe@butler.edu<\/a> for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Individual Registration<br><\/strong>$500 per module<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visit our catalogue to register for one or more modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-foundations-module\">Foundations Module<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Students in our program will start with the self-paced Foundations Module where they will learn the basics of classroom management, lesson planning, and how to teach their content in a more effective manner.
