Guaranteed Scholarships
The Center for Global Education has teamed up with a few amazing study abroad provider partners who are offering Butler students GUARANTEED SCHOLARSHIPS for select study abroad programs.
*Note that if you choose to study on a 3rd Party Provider program, then 50% of your Butler financial aid will apply toward the cost of tuition (only for that semester). These scholarships are meant to offset the costs of 3rd Party Provider programs. Get up to a $1,000 flight voucher when you start your CEA study abroad application here.
The following CEA programs are on the Butler University List of Approved Programs:
- Full Curriculum (Prague, Czech Republic)
- Liberal Arts & Business (Aix-en-Provence, France)
- Science & Engineering (French Riviera)
- Business, Communications & Liberal Arts (French Riviera)
- Communications, Politics & Global Issues (Paris, France)
- Engineering (Paris, France)
*You must get your code before you start your CEA application to receive the flight voucher.*
**You must go on a CEA study abroad program in order to receive/use the flight voucher.
Get a guaranteed $2,500 housing scholarship when you go on one of the following IFSA programs. Must apply by the deadlines listed on IFSA’s site.
Housing scholarships available for semester-long study through Spring 2024.
- Barcelona, Spain
- Prague, Czech Republic
- Rome, Italy
- Study in Rome
- Study in Rome Plus
- Rome Universities Program: LUISS (ask the CGE about this option ONLY available to Butler business students!)
- **Through Spring 2023, students going to Rome will receive a $750 flight voucher, in addition to the housing scholarship!**
*You must go on an IFSA study abroad program in order to receive this scholarship.
Get a guaranteed housing + meals scholarship when you go on one of the following IPSL programs (that’s a $3,290 discount!). Must apply by the deadline listed on IPSL’s site.
Housing + Meals scholarships available for semester-long study through Fall 2023.
- IPSL South Africa (Cape Town)
- IPSL Vietnam (Hanoi)
SIT Study Abroad is committed to making its study abroad programs affordable for a diversity of students, including low-income undergraduates who might otherwise not pursue international opportunities. The Pell Grant Match program provides matching grants up to $2,500 to students receiving Federal Pell Grant funding for the term during which they are studying with SIT. This award can be applied to any SIT program. Qualified students must complete the scholarship portion of their SIT application.
Pell Grant Match in Australia, Chile, Ghana, Iceland, Nepal, Netherlands, Rwanda, Samoa, Senegal, South Africa, and Switzerland.
Get a guaranteed $1,000 housing scholarship when you go on the Wells in Florence program for a fall semester. Must apply by the deadline listed on Wells College’s site.
In addition to these guaranteed scholarship offerings, there are Butler scholarships and national scholarships available to help fund your study abroad experience!
