Study Abroad Fair

Date: Wednesday, October 4, 2023
Time: 4:00 – 6:00 PM
Location: Reilly Room

Target Audience: Students interested in studying abroad (or going abroad again).

Learn about semester and summer study abroad opportunities for all three of our program types (Exchange, 3rd Party Provider, and Faculty-Led) by talking to faculty leading programs, past participants, and/or provider representatives. Enter for a chance to win our raffle, which will include swag from our partners!

Marketing Your Study Abroad Experience

Returnees will be notified of this event.

Target Audience: Recent returnee study abroad students who have been abroad on a short-term program or for a semester or year.

Learn how to identify what you learned during your study abroad experience and then how to best articulate these experiences on a resume, in an interview, and in other professional settings. A portion of the workshop will include a panel of alumni and employers who will share what they look for in candidates and answer specific questions from attendees. FREE food will be provided.

Letter to Self Pickup/Returnee Discussion

Returnees will be notified of this event.

Target Audience: Recent returnee study abroad students who have been abroad on a short-term program or for a semester or year.

Connect with other recent study abroad returnees. Open up the letter you wrote to yourself prior to departure and see how your experience differed from your original expectations. Discussion questions, as well as coffee and cookies, will be provided.

Study Abroad Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO)

Target Audience: Students committed to studying abroad for a semester or on a Third Party Provider summer program.

Each semester, the CGE hosts a MANDATORY pre-departure orientation (PDO) for students studying abroad for the following semester or summer. The CGE provides information on how to stay safe abroad and prepare for one of the best semesters of your college career. PDO lasts for about 2 hours.

**There are NO makeup sessions and NO one-on-one appointments to go through PDO information.**
