Think of it as a &#8220;if I were to apply today, would I be successful&#8221; approach; this leaves ample time to accumulate any additional experiences or components needed prior to their actual application to professional school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-entrance-exam-overview\">Entrance Exam Overview<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students who are planning to take the MCAT, DAT, OAT, or GRE will learn about these entrance exams, hear updated statistics and information, and be provided resources for success.  One such resource is a free GRE and MCAT test package, study material, and coursework via the Princeton Review through Butler University&#8217;s partnership with Tutor.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mcat-strategy-session\">MCAT Strategy Session<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students who are planning to take the MCAT can learn more about specific strategies on how to create a study calendar, how to approach questions on the exam, how to study for various sections, and how to evaluate data from each practice test.  This session is held in collaboration with a Butler University faculty member that spent nearly a decade teaching for the Princeton Review and writing for the MCAT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-personal-statement-overview\">Personal Statement Overview<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students are invited to attend an information session regarding writing personal statements as a part of an application for professional school, including timelines as well as how to craft a successful personal statement and how to avoid the common traps in this process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-personal-statement-workshop\">Personal Statement Workshop<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students are encouraged to submit a completed draft of a personal statement prior to the workshop, which will then be used to receive feedback from both peers and pre-health advisors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-application-overview\">Application Overview<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students that are preparing to apply to professional school attend to learn about the application process for various professional schools, including timelines, various application components and processes, and are provided the applicable links and dates to their specific programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-interview-preparation-workshop\">Interview Preparation Workshop<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students that are preparing for interviews are encouraged to attend this workshop hosted in collaboration with staff from the Career and Professional Success (CaPS) office to learn more about how to be successful at both in-person and virtual interviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mock-interviews\">Mock Interviews<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Staff from the Career and Professional Success (CaPS) office offer both in-person and virtual mock interviews for any pre-health student that wishes, providing one-on-one feedback to the
