Once you are ready to propose a new ICR course or add the ICR designation to an existing course, please submit the proposal through Butler&#8217;s Modern Curriculum portal. As part of that proposal, you will be asked how your course fulfills the ICR SLOs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All ICR courses are required to include (1) 20 hours of student engagement with community partners (generally unpaid), (2) assigned readings (<a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.butler.edu\/www\/sites\/2\/2025\/10\/20162026\/educating-citizenship-musil.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">like this one<\/a>) and reflection on service learning, and (3) pre- and post-experience reflection.
