Student Affairs Admin

Welcome

The quality of campus life is crucial to the success of a university. At Butler, the Division of Student Affairs strives to integrate our students' educational experiences into a campus setting with opportunities, challenges, and services that promote their development as a total person. With that goal in mind, the departments within Student Affairs focus on meeting the needs of students from the time they first set foot on campus through commencement—and beyond.

As mentors, advisors, and friends, our staff seeks to maximize each student's potential. As students build their academic foundation, we are here to help them develop well-rounded, balanced lives for their lifelong personal and professional success. While students uncover what truly interests them academically, we can help them discover their personal passions, their strengths and opportunities for further development.

In the Division of Student affairs, we recognize that just as we must be sensitive to the needs of others in our campus community, we must also assist students in becoming responsible citizens in the global community. Focusing on diversity and collaboration within the community prepares students to take leadership roles in their lives after graduation. The ultimate goal of the division of Student Affairs is to send unique individuals out into the world who are poised to make a positive contribution. Butler students leave campus prepared to transfer their learning into action.

I welcome the opportunity to share our division with you. We're proud of both what we accomplish every day and the direction in which we're headed.

Sincerely,
Levester Johnson
