Student Director - Ashley
About Ashley
Ashley is a senior actuarial science major from Versailles,
Ohio. This is her second year working in the Volunteer Center. She
is involved in the Actuarial Science club, president of the
Mathematics Association of America, member of Butler Catholic
Community, and intramurals. She loves alliteration and rhyming,
especially while baking her famous cakies. Someday she hopes to
visit Utah and France. Lofty dreams and aspirations, indeed, but
quite attainable for a women with such talents as Ashley.
Responsibilities
- Lead Volunteer Center staff to fulfill the mission and goals of
the Center
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Volunteer Center
- Facilitate weekly staff meetings
- Set up the schedule for staff each semester and follow up on
hour requirements
- Assist in selection/training of staff
- Coordinate fall/spring retreats
- Attend meetings/presentations focusing on volunteerism, as
needed
- Provide performance feedback to Volunteer Center staff on a
semester basis
- Organize donations given to the Volunteer Center
- Meet with each staff member individually once a month to go
over their position and current projects
- Create and carry out a staff assessment at the beginning and
the end of the year
- Serve as the main contact for Volunteer Center sponsored blood
drives
- Other duties as assigned
