About Alex
Alex is a freshman from Woodstock, Illinois studying economics,
finance, and accounting. He is involved in the Butler University
Student Foundation (BUSF), Students for the Advancement of Business
Leadership, and Fall Alternative Break. He enjoys climbing trees
and chopping wood and being outdoors, especially when fishing.
He can only enter the shower from the left hand side, and he
meditates for at least one hour each day. Alex's favorite
Indianapolis service agency is Rebuilding the Wall.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the summer Bulldogs Into The Streets (BITS)
program
- Coordinate BITS II during spring semester
- Work with Collegian and Dawgnet to promote Volunteer Center
projects, programs and initiatives
- Host and open house for the Volunteer Center at the beginning
of the school year
- Plan the Volunteer Center mid year mailing that recognizes our
partners in service
- Coordinate the awards process for the recognition banquet
including the Lamp of Wisdom, Volunteer of the Year, Emerging
Volunteer, and Faculty/Staff Volunteer of the Year
- Develop and plan the Volunteer Opportunities Fair in the
fall
- Execute and compile BITS surveys
- Work with Staff Assembly in coordinating a staff/student
volunteer service project
- Work with Alumni and Parent Programs in coordinating a
student/alumni volunteer service project
- Coordinate Stop, Give, Go
- Other duties as assigned
