Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteer Program Facilitation

We partner with schools and community centers that serve girls ages 6-18. By utilizing pairs of caring, trustworthy volunteers our programs are delivered to thousands of girls in greater Indianapolis every year. Through Girls Inc. curriculum, volunteer program facilitators enable girls to be confident in their own skin, prepared for their futures, proud of who they are, and ready to take their place in the world.

Program facilitators commit to volunteering for at least one consecutive six-week program in a year.

There are four program cycles:

* Winter (late January - late March)

* Spring (early April - late May)

* Fall I (late August - early October)

* Fall II (late October - mid December)

During each week of their six-week program, volunteers complete approximately 3 hours of service:

* 1 hour facilitating a program

* 1 hour preparing for a program

* 1 hour traveling to and from a program

Programs take place Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

There are many program opportunities to choose from throughout greater Indianapolis.
