Get Involved with Bulldogs Being Bigs

Do you have the desire to help a child in the community, while forming a one on one relationship that will last for years to come? Through Bulldogs Being Bigs and our partnership with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Indiana, (BBBSCI) you have the opportunity to do just that.  Through this program, you will be matched with a child between the ages of 8-14 and must be willing to commit to the program for one full year.  This relationship is unique, because, while you act as their mentor, you are also the person that they look up to, learn from, and turn to for advice. This program allows many opportunities for leadership and personal growth, while simultaneously learning how to be attentive and serve the needs of someone else. There are many children who are currently waiting to be matched with a big, so you will be matched quickly with your little, upon joining. If you love children, service, and leadership, please contact Butler Bulldogs Being Bigs (on Facebook or email Danielle at dstone@butler.edu) for more information!

Another Great Bulldogs Being Bigs Opportunity

Bulldogs Being Bigs is looking for dedicated "Big Brothers" and "Big Sisters" to volunteer ~ one hour every week to go to the Indiana School for the Blind & Visually Impaired, which is approximately 10 minutes from Butler's campus and car pools are available!

Mentors will be able to hang out in some of the classrooms and act as "Bigs" to the students there.  The students at ISBVI are great to work with and are extremely excited to see their "Butler Bigs" each week!  The commitment time for volunteers is flexible, as long as he/she is able to make a commitment for once a week for the remaining semester.   Time slots will be announced very soon and will fill up very fast!
