Jen graduated cum laude in May 2006 with departmental honors in English. She is going to school full time to get a Secondary English teaching certificate. She is still performing with the Marching Band and Wind Ensemble at Butler!

Why did you join Tau Beta Sigma?
"I was impressed by how close the sisterhood was. I knew that the sisters were a great group of people. With that kind of bond, you can do amazing things. I'm proud to be a sister of Epsilon."

What is your favorite part of being a sister in Epsilon?
"I love having a group of people who support me. I grew up with a brother, so it's really great having a sister. The bond is so strong, and they are my best friends."

What are your favorite Tau Beta Sigma activities?
"My favorite activity is when we have our scavenger hunt around Indianapolis. I love meeting rookies in band, and I think it's great that we get to explore Indianapolis."

Which of the "Five Qualities" is most important to you?
"'Recognition and development of your intellectual potential.' College is a journey of intellectual discovery. I like how the sisterhood recognizes the importance of learning at all times."

Which of the "Eight Essential Factors" is most important to you?
"'Fortitude and courage to see an ideal, to seize upon it, and follow it wherever it may lead you in Tau Beta Sigma.' Life is about taking a chance. In Tau Beta Sigma, my sisters give me the strength to reach my potential. The love of sisterhood is courage and strength to me. I like how Tau Beta Sigma has made me a stronger person."

The best thing about band is ...
"that some of my best friends are in band. In band, we have memories that will last forever."
