The Kappa Psi Lab Pass Event
“Get out of Dressing up for Lab Pass”
Buying this pass will do two wonderful things:
- You will get out of dressing up for lab (Pharmcare, Adv Dosage, OR SelfCare 2) for ONE day per class.* You must still however wear closed toe shoes (lab policy)
- You will be giving to two great charities (Sheltering Wings and Elizabeth Glaser Foundation for Pediatric Aids).
Sheltering Wings is an organization for battered women and children. Sheltering Wings organizes an annual clothing drive to collect business clothes, scrubs, etc. for their clients to help them dress professionally to apply for jobs and for work. They donate the remaining clothes and give $5 vouchers to the Goodwill to their clients who are in need.
*The designated week for Adv Dosage and Pharmcare is March 23-27. Self Care’s week is March 31-April 3.

Kappa Psi: A History
Beta Upsilon was founded in 1930. We are the oldest of three pharmaceutical fraternities at Butler University. Our coeducational fraternity has members in all years of school.
Kappa Psi was founded at the Russell Military Academy in New Haven, CT during the 19th century. Today, Kappa Psi has over 46,000 members with seventy different collegiate chapters throughout the United States and British Columbia. Kappa Psi also has retained a strong alumni support structure by establishing forty-three graduate chapters in both the United States and Canada. Increasing membership has not only made Kappa Psi the oldest pharmaceutical fraternity but also the largest.
The objectives of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc. are to conduct a fraternal organization for the mutual benefit of the member; to advance the profession of Pharmacy, educationally, fraternally, and socially, to instill industry, sobriety, fellowship, and high ideals in its members; and to foster scholarship and pharmaceutical research.
