The Hampton House offers an exciting opportunity for sophomore, junior, and senior male and female students at Butler University. Based on the philosophy of servant-leadership, the Hampton House provides an opportunity for students to gain leadership skills within a unique community environment.

Servant-leadership is a practical philosophy supporting those who choose to lead as a way of serving individuals and institutions. It encourages collaboration, trust, foresight, listening, and the ethical use of power and empowerment. Servant leaders may or may not hold formal leadership positions.

Comprehending the idea of servant-leadership and determining its relevance is a personal journey. The experiences gained from fulfilling Hampton House commitments have inspirational purposes throughout that journey. To develop a deeper understanding of the significance of the Hampton House to the individuals involved, it is crucial to look beyond the expectations on paper and to step into the world of servant-leadership.
