rather, it is a set of tools and experiences chosen to broaden the comprehension
of servant-leadership and its relevance in each person's life.
First year:
- Read and discuss "The Servant as Leader"
(Greenleaf) and "Journey to the East" (Hesse)
- Serve one or two months on the Board of Servants
(see Frequently Asked Questions for more information on the Board
of Servants)
- Reflect in house journal
- Attend house meetings
- Participate in at least one house service project
per semester
- Contribute to house newsletter
Second Year:
- All of the above, and...
- Read and discuss "Life's Choices and Markers"
(Greenleaf) and "Have you a Dream Deferred?" (Greenleaf)
- Lead at least one first-year book discussion
- Serve as a mentor and resource for new program members
Third Year:
- All of the above, and...
- Read and discuss "Teacher as Servant"
Greenleaf)
- Lead at least one second-year book discussion
