Women’s Health Report Card
Check out this
website that grades the performance of each of the 50 states as far as
women’s health is concerned.
It is definitely disheartening but shows how much harder we need to
be working towards this cause.
Human Papillomavirus
(HPV) Infection Fact Sheet
As many of
you probably already know, the HPV virus has been making headlines across
the country, as well as the vaccine intented to help prevent it. Be sure to
read up on it and protect yourself from HPV, whether it be with the vaccine
or not.
National Association of Working Women
9 to 5 is an
organization promoting the rights of working women. Did you know that, on
average, a woman makes only 69 cents to every dollar that a man makes,
doing the same job at the same level of quality? Make a stand for equal
rights in the workplace.
American Association of University Women
An organization that is especially pertinent to us Butler University students, AAUW “advances equity for
women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.” They promote education and equity for
college women, and possesses the largest legal fund focused only on sexual
discrimination in higher education.
Girls Inc.
Girls Inc. is a great website that works to instill values of
equality and of self-worth in the younger girl and tween set. Their website states that they are
“dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
