I'm Lauren, Vice President of Public Relations Board, and I adore anything rich in creativity, culture and new experiences. I'm a spicy food addict, traveling enthusiast, sports fanatic and social media junkie. I believe relationships are the most important thing in life, that's why I love being part of SGA. I've developed friendships and met people I never would have otherwise. For me, SGA is synonymous with unique memories like traveling to Final Four basketball games in Houston, going skydiving, carrying 80 balloons around campus (and looking completely ridiculous!) to decorate for an event, designing posters and giving our TONS of free stuff to Butler students through my involvement with Blue Crew. I've been looking forward to being VP of Public Relations Board for over a year and I'm so excited to bring my passion for SGA to the students.

Personal Information

  • Hometown: Indianapolis, IN
  • High School: Franklin Central
  • Why I'm at BU: Surprisingly, I actually transferred to Butler after one semester of college. The first college I went to wasn't a great fit for my personality, but the change of coming to BU certainly was!

Academic Information

  • Majors and Minors: Integrated Communications and minor in Media, Rhetoric and Culture
  • Career Goals: Intern at Disney World in Orlando, FL after graduation and eventually find a career in publicity in an urban environment

Student Government Association Experience

  • I've been on PR Board every semester I've been at Butler. I started on Blue Crew giving our free items to students, worked on special events planning and now I'm excited about using my creativity and leadership experience to transform the way SGA does PR.

Campus Involvement

  • Alpha Chi Omega
  • Butler ADrenaline advertising club
  • Work on campus in the College of Education and the HRC

Favorite Butler Memory

  • Without a doubt it was being able to travel to both Final Fours! Such a memorable experience with great people! A close second was spending a semester abroad in London where I traveled Europe, met new friends, interned at an international company and fell in love with the city.
