Jonathan Himes
Vice President of Programming

I'm Jon, Vice President of Programming, and I enjoy traveling,
being outdoors, and trying new foods. I am also a coffee addict,
Indianapolis Colts fan, and will admit that I read the newspaper
every day. To me, SGA is a great opportunity of which all students
should take advantage. I have been able to go white water rafting
in West Virginia, out to eat at an expensive Brazilian steakhouse,
go on a trip to New Orleans, and many other unique experiences -
all for little to no cost. SGA is symbolic of Butler pride, and
within it you will find some of the most dedicated, passionate
students on campus. Wherever your interests may lie, SGA can
provide you with an avenue to pursue them. Whether it is dancing
for 12 straight hours to raise money for Riley Hospital for
Children during Dance Marathon, helping to plan homecoming
festivities, or bringing an array of culturally diverse speakers to
campus, SGA has opportunities that will enhance your experience
during your four years at Butler.

Favorite Butler Memory
My favorite Butler memory was when the basketball team made it
to the Final Four two years ago. Everyone on campus ran to the
bulldog in front of Atherton in celebration! Television crews were
everywhere, and campus literally went crazy. The entire next week,
everything seemed to revolve around Butler Basketball - campus was
packed with visitors, camera crews and people stocking up on Butler
gear! It was a great time to be a student at Butler!
