Butler University Cheerleading Clinics and Tryouts

Thank you for your interest in Butler Cheerleading!  The main focus and goal for the Spirit program is to increase crowd involvement and positively contribute to the overall atmosphere of Butler University athletic events. The cheerleaders also work hard at being positive representatives, supporters, and promoters of Butler University. To make this goal successful, we need the right people to work together on this team.  You may now have the opportunity to contribute to this team, increase your skill level, and create memorable experiences while you are at Butler.

Stunt Clinic

A Stunt Clinic open to all High School and College Students will be held on Sunday, March 23 from 11am-2pm.  The cost is $30. Click HERE to download the registration form. The Stunt Clinic is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED for those trying out on April 13!

Please RSVP via e-mail to jtroyer1@butler.edu or by returning your completed registration form, by Wednesday, March 19. (You may bring your form and $30 on the day of clinic, as long as you've reserved your spot via email by March 19.)

Pre-Tryout Clinic

A second clinic exclusively for those trying out will be held on Saturday, April 12 from 12pm-3pm. The cost is $15.  Click HERE to download the registration form.

Official Tryouts

The Tryout for the 2014-2015 squad will be held on Sunday, April 13 at Hinkle Fieldhouse in the Efroymson Family Gym. Check-in will begin at 9:30am and a workshop to review material will begin promptly at 10am. Tumbling, Jump, and Material Evaluation will take place in the morning from 10:30pm- approx.12pm. There will be a break for lunch from 12pm-12:45pm (Lunch will not be provided, and you are free to leave at this time.) Evaluations for stunting and any other material needed to see again will go from 1:30pm until approximately 4pm.  The length of the tryout will depend on the number of individuals trying out.  Selections will be made and posted the day of the try-out.  For those selected, a meeting will immediately follow the try-out to discuss policies, uniforms, costs, and camp.  We will try our best to conclude the day by 5:30pm.
