Band Day 2013

Saturday, September 7, 2013

For over 20 years, Butler University has been inviting high school bands and band directors for instrument-specific master classes with Butler music faculty and graduate students. Participants perform at half-time alongside other musicians, showcasing their talents in front of an energetic Butler Bowl crowd. Each year, a guest artist on the featured instrument joins in the fun.Tromboje -Slides

Tubas blew the crowd away in 2011, while the Flutes and Piccolos took center field in 2012. For 2013, we are proud to feature the Trombones, with Butler Unversity Professor of Trombone, Jared Rodin.

Join us on Saturday, September 7, for Band Day 2013!

Of course we want all members of your band to attend, but you are also welcome to just send your trombones. All students will be involved in the morning rehearsal, the faculty master-classes and the on-field massed band performance. There are no student costs for the day's events, and Butler football game tickets are a great bargain for parents at the gate (only $12). Come see our newly renovated stadium and its beautiful "Field Turf" surface!
