- Hannah Wysong - Award for
Excellence, presented to a graduating senior who has
demonstrated outstanding scholarly achievement in the major.
- Virginia Christ - Jane Addams
Award, recognizes the student who best demonstrates the
link between sociological thought and service.
- Stephanie Lander - C. Wright
Mills Award, presented to the student who best
demonstrates the application of sociological imagination to social
issues.
- Trisha Wilcox - Edwin G.
Sutherland Award, given to the student who best displays
an aptitude for criminology.
- Emily Welter - Emile Durkheim
Award, presented to the student who best demonstrates the
link between social theory and empirical research in her/his senior
research project.
- Katelin Biermann - Max Weber
Award, recognizes the junior student who best demonstrates
an aptitude for sociological thought.
- Haley Cook and Elizabeth
Rosich - Dr. Richard E. Martin Scholarship
Award, presented to two students based on academic
performance and service to the community in memory of Martin, a
sociologist, professor and administrator at Butler for 31
years.
