Why is Participation Important?
With tuition, room and board covering only 70 percent of the cost of a Butler education, the remaining 30 percent comes from private support, grants and draw from endowment funds. Essentially, the remaining 2½ months of each school year is paid for by the generosity of alumni, parents, friends and students.
It is the support from those who walked the halls before us that allows us to enjoy our education here at Butler and gives us the necessary tools to succeed in the future. Gifts to the University allow us to enter the world upon graduation fully supplied with the tools to succeed. Some examples include:
- Partnering with exceptional professors who are experts in their fields.
- Participating in activities and organizations that have expanded our horizons and taught us to be confident leaders.
- Equipping us with the technology, resources and skills that will vault our resumes to the top of the stack.
These are just a few reasons why giving back to Butler is so important. We understand the financial restraints each student might have, but participation is key. Now is our chance to make a difference!
