Schrott Center Challenge
It was nearly one year ago that we broke ground at Butler
University on the Howard L. Schrott Center for the Performing and
Visual Arts. As spring blooms on the butler campus, we are excited
to bring you an update and a wonderful opportunity to make the
Center one of the premiere performance venues of the country.
This 450-seat performance hall, will celebrate its grand opening
in spring 2013. The Center is the final component of the Jordan
College of Fine Arts complex at the main entrance of Butler
University - a significant addition to the current 2,200-seat
Clowes Memorial Hall and the 144-seat Eidson-Duckwall Recital
Hall.
This is why I am encouraging you to join me in the final phase of
fundraising. Two donors have come forward with a generous challenge
grant of $200,000 to assist in purchasing state-of-the-art interior
engineering - theatrical lighting, acoustical equipment, recording
and video facilities - everything we need to make this a truly
great hall for music, theatre, dance and visual arts. Every dollar
you give before April 30, 2012, will be matched two-to-one by this
challenge, effectively tripling your gift. Moreover, for gifts of
$1,000 or more, the match can be applied to naming opportunities.
Please join me today in making a gift to the Schrott Center. The
opportunity for our gifts to work together will continue to give
the students of Butler University, the Jordan College of Fine Arts
and the community rich cultural experiences for generations to
come.
Thank you for your continued support of Butler University.
Sincerely,
Howard L. Schrott '76
P.S.: Remember, only gifts received before April 30, 2012, will be
eligible for matching funds; please send your contribution
today!
