Undergraduate Research & Creative Activity Programs

You could be one of 30 Butler students chosen to spend summer on campus to work with a faculty mentor on a research or creative project. Students selected for Butler Summer Institute (BSI) pick their own topics - everything from possible Alzheimer's and cancer drugs to immigration, choreography, and the Riot Grrls. They also receive a $2,500 stipend and free University housing during the program.

Competition for BSI slots is high; CHASE can guide you through the process.

For stipend-funded research during the academic year, check out CHASE's Undergraduate Student Research Program. Share your finding at the annual Undergraduate Research Conference, or present your work at professional conferences through a CHASE travel grant.
